
Yellowstone Country Assistance Network has granted funding to First Stop of Park County for a part-time case manager.
The 2023 Community Needs Assessment identified a need for a central location where Park County residents can receive assistance in navigating the complex social service system and filling out applications from various organizations.
At First Stop, their mission is to offer assistance and support to those who require it.
The First Stop Park County Help Center is a program that operates under the Park County Poverty Alleviation Coalition and Heart Mountain Free Clinic. Our primary objective is to assist individuals who are facing crises in Park County. They strive to fulfill their immediate needs, enabling them to work towards achieving stability, financial independence, and their personal goals.
When clients walk into First Stop:
- They will conduct a survey to gather information about both short-term necessities and long-term aspirations.
- A member of the staff will assist them in finding the necessary resources to fulfill their requirements.
- Develop a strategy to accomplish one’s aspirations.
- Their main objective at the First Stop Park County Help Center is to assist the community through different means such as shelter, sustenance, mobility, apparel, and more. By doing so, our clients can use their remaining resources to accomplish their aspirations.
CSBG Funds for Park County
To apply for one-time financial assistance from Park County CSBG, you can schedule an appointment with the First Stop Park County Help Center. They will assess your eligibility for CSBG services and assist you in applying for CSBG or other services. Please note that Yellowstone Country Assistance Network only processes applications submitted through referral from the First Stop.
CSBG Eligibility:
- To be eligible, you must reside in Park County, Wyoming.
- In order to qualify, your household gross income must be below 125% of the federal poverty level.l
- Applicants must provide proof of all household income for the past 30 days for everyone over 18..
- To request payment for services, a bill, invoice, estimate, or application in the household member’s name is required. For assistance with rent payment, a landlord’s IRS Form W9 is also needed.
