Wyoming Homeless Collaborative
The Wyoming Homeless Collaborative, WHC, is a statewide planning and coordinating group focusing on housing and support services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. They provide a united voice for designing the homeless system in Wyoming, which allows us to access federal, state, and local funds to support the plan.

Volunteers of America Homeless Outreach Program
- The Homeless Outreach Program is a lifeline for our neighbors struggling with homelessness.
- Homeless prevention, rapid rehousing, and emergency shelter in the Sheridan community.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families
- Available in Wyoming & Montana
- Rent/Utility Assistance, Rental/Utility deposits, Motel Bill Payment Assistance, Car repair, Bus Ticket, Household goods, and food Connection to VA resources/benefits.

CSBG Park and Hot Springs Co. Homeless Prevention
Homeless Prevention Financial Assistance through CSBG funds in Park and Hot Springs Counties is available to residents in Park or Hot Springs Counties at or below 125% of the FPL. This program has limits on the amount of allowable temporary motel nights. You may be required to pay a portion of the motel bill. You will need an invoice or quote from a motel Big Bear Motel Cody (307)-587-3117, Best Choice Motel Powell (307) 754-2243, Beartooth Inn Cody 307-527-5001, or Rainbow Motel Thermopolis 307-439-8599.

Area Homeless Shelters
Park County, Wyoming, and Hot Springs County, Wyoming, do not have homeless shelters in the counties. In the situation of homelessness, organizations in the community provide motel vouchers and sometimes gas vouchers to get to the nearest shelter.

The Montana Rescue Mission Men’s Shelter, located at 2822 Minnesota Avenue, serves single men and provides assistance to single men with children and intact families. Shelter Guests receive three nutritious meals a day and the community dining room is open to the public for lunch and dinner. Upon check-in, guests receive essential hygiene products and emergency clothing. A public shower facility is available, to Men only, Monday thru Friday 9:00 am -11:00 am and 2:00 pm-4:00 pm. All services are free of charge.
In addition to Emergency Shelter, we offer our guests a wide variety of programs to help make their stay with us productive by providing vital tools to overcome the causes of their homelessness. We offer classes in parenting, life skills, anger management, proper nutrition, conflict resolution, addiction counseling, and spiritual development. Chapel services are offered on a regular basis and staff are available for one-on-one counseling. In addition, there are educational opportunities to improve skills and a dedicated computer lab that can be used for resume preparation, job searches and GED preparation.
Riverstone Health Care also provides Healthcare for the Homeless in the Mens Shelter Monday and Wednesday 7 am – 10 am, Friday 7 am – 11 am. Women and Children are also able to access this program.
